‘Design a bridge’ competition

Secondary students’ challenge:

Design and build a bridge that will hold a book weighing 500g. (Samples in IRC)

You may only use:

Plastic straws
A roll of tape
2 blocks of wood (any size and shape)
glue (including hot glue gun)
Extra points will be awarded for bridges that have a design plan submitted with them.
An example is shown here – but extra note will be taken and points given for original designs or variations based on this design.
All entries must be handed in to the IRC by Friday 20 August 2010

    • I would like entries from anyone Robert! It was aimed at Secondary as they are not involved with the Character Parade but I am happy for all entries and all entries will get House Points and be in the running for prizes.
